Step by step
- Open «Matters» from the menu.
- Filter by Open, On hold or All — closed matters don’t show up here: they live in the Archive.
- If your practice has more than one person, switch between «Mine» and «Whole practice» to see only your own matters or the whole team’s.
- Search by title, matter number or filing number and click «Search». Use search or pagination when it is not on page one; that does not mean it is missing.

- Click a matter to open its file.
- Use «New matter» to create one, or «Import» to bring in several at once.
How you know it worked
The count reflects your filter and search. Open the result and check its title or filing number before editing. Closed operational matters live under the Archive’s «Closed» tab, not «Imported».
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What happened | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No matter shows up | The filter you chose has no results | Choose «View all» to clear the filter |
| You search for a closed matter and it doesn’t show up | Closed matters left this list | Look for it in the Archive |
| You don’t see the «Mine / Whole practice» switch | Your plan doesn’t have more than one seat | You don’t need it: you already see all your matters |
