Custodio’s AI answers your questions about a matter, citing your own documents, and drafts documents for you — all of it spent from the same monthly allowance your practice has.

Before you start

  • A matter with documents already uploaded and read, if you want to ask about them.
  • Your practice’s plan needs to include this feature: if it doesn’t, the screen tells you before you spend anything.

Step by step

  1. Open the matter and go to the Ask the matter file tab.

  2. Ask a specific question about this matter. Before clicking «Ask», check its cost and your allowance. Enter sends; Shift+Enter inserts a new line. Review the answer’s citations and open their links to identify the source. A page number appears only when it could be determined; otherwise the link opens the source without inventing a page.

  3. To request a document, go to the Draft with Custodio tab, pick the document type, and add your instructions.

  4. Wait for writing to finish and review the result before downloading it in Word. A generated draft still requires professional review.

  5. Before you ask for either one, check what it costs and how much AI allowance you have left this month: the notice is always right next to the button that spends it.

  6. To see how much your practice has spent and on what, go to My practice: the daily consumption and the consumption by operation live there, next to your plan.

How you know it worked

The question appears in the conversation and you can inspect the sources cited in the answer. An answer without citations says so explicitly; do not treat it as verified evidence. Even a citation does not replace reviewing the source and its context. A finished draft is available for review and Word download.

Custodio keeps source references and extracted text, not original files. Opening a citation identifies the source in the matter; use your practice’s own copy to review the original PDF.

Action proposals are different from answers: if Custodio requests approval for a change, inspect the proposal and decide. Asking about a matter does not automatically authorize changes to it.
